Someone called me for relationship advice at midnight and because I am a human being who runs on sleep, I had to move things along

Friend: It's just... I don't get it, ya know? It's like--
Me: Does he make you happy on purpose?
Friend: What?
Me: Does he make you happy on purpose? Like, when you talk about how great he is you're telling me he's good looking and has a secure job. Does he go out of his way to intentionally make your life better? Does he enjoy your joy?
Friend: ...I don't know?
Me: There's your problem.
Friend: I don't think that's fair.
Me: Sorry, but the people who love you on this planet are the ones who want to see you live your best life. Who take time out of dealing with their own shit to clear away some of your shit. And vice versa. That is love. If he doesn't make you happy on purpose then it's just abs.

i enjoy my tumblr because its a secret. out of my like, four followers i only know like, one in real life. so i don’t have to worry about offending anyone i know personally.

henywayz, i think its so funny when girls comment on their facebook pictures and write “omg, i was so obese back then” or “i look sooo fat”, or, omg, i look so ugly”

i always have a strong, strong urge to comment back and respond the following:

“actually, you’re just as obese today”
“that’s how you look everyday”
“you probably look ugly because you are ugly. the camera doesn’t photoshop you that way. THAT IS WHAT YOU ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE!”

while all gathered around the table, i was talking to my family, and i don’t know why, but i randomly remembered that while i was in Austin this past weekend, i saw nipple tassels for sale. so, this thought just pops in my head, and i look at the closest person to me square in the eye and say “I SAW SOME NIPPLE TASSELS FOR SALE!” (suggesting that i wanted some) and sure enough, that person had to be my dad. it was such an awkward moment. allz i could do was act cool and continue with the subject. :”…yeah, they were pretty neat”

my dad just walked away and started washing dishes while chuckling to himself. i could tell he was embarrassed. probably more than myself.
